  1. Love the words of affirmation. What a great reminder. As from The Help: “You is kind, you is smart, you is important.” ❤️

  2. I love this! Some of these I’ve implemented in my morning routine already, but I love some of your tangible ideas. And number 9 is my favorite! Even though I think about doing this, I’ve never thought about actually making it part of my morning routine. How powerful!

  3. Such a great post! I agree with all of this, but I certainly need to improve on #7! Great article 😊

  4. I really need to switch up my morning routine. What we currently do “works” for us (I wake up between 5-30 minutes before my daughter, wash my face, get dressed, start coffee, change her diaper/get dressed, brush her hair, make breakfast, then we go outside to walk the dogs) but it feels like half the morning is gone by the time we finish that. And then I’m playing catch-up it feels like. Staying up late to read a novel is probably not the best idea! I appreciate the ideas you share.

  5. I love this so much. I’ve been an angry mom lately (8 months pregnant with #5). This is a great reminder to stay calm and have a plan, even a super simple one.

    1. Congrats on baby #5!! I completely understand and I’ve definitely been there. Having something just for me to focus on before the chaos of the day begins has definitely helped me to be a calmer mom. That time is precious to me now and a must have! I hope it will do the same for you! Simplicity is key.

  6. So many lovely ideas in this post! I love the mornings when I get to take a few minutes outside to start the day, too! This is a great reminder to be intentional with the way I begin the day. Thank you!
